Originally built in 1965, the former Istra was purchased by ASC, Lisbon in 2000 and was completely reconstructed from hull up.
Today she is a modern, first class vessel and due to her small size she can explore areas where larger ships cannot go.
Her limited passenger capacity 320 allows for an intimate and cozy ambience reminiscent of the way cruising used to be.
All cabins offer en-suite facilities, air conditioning, telephone, satellite television, music, hair dryers and safes. Films are shown via TV every day.The Arion has Portuguese and other European officers and an international crew.
